Here is the second sheet for the Stuka. Those wishing to model the early Ju-87 in 1/48 have two kits to choose from. First is the Airfix Ju-87B. I've never had or seen this kit so don't really know which version it does. Judging from the decal sheets, I'd say it does the B-1 variant as I know of no conversion sets for the Hasegawa kit. The Hasegawa kit, does the later B-2. From what I've seen of the two planes, the main difference is in the exhaust. The B-2 has the ejector exhaust stacks while the B-1 had the ones that are flush with the cowling. Now it is quite possible that the newer exhaust were retrofitted to the B-1 and I'd be quite interested in hearing from any of you that actually know.
On this sheet, all are in the RLM 70/71/65 splinter camo.
First is a B-1 from 7./StG 51. It has a very nice comet marking on the fuselage and a whilte stripe on the spinner to set it off from other aircraft.
Next is a B-2 from 4./StG 3. The forward portion of the spinner is white as is a fuselage band under the fuselage insignia.
Finally, a B-1 from 8./StG 51 in france in 1940. It has a red spinner stripe. As to the use of the siren, most Stukas had this on and functioning at the beginning of the war. It would be a good idea to glean more information from the various references given to make sure that your aircraft carried these items.
