It has been a while since anyone has done a new Stuka sheet and this one should be most welcome. I can tell you that my last Stuka kit was a very nice build and was further helped by an aftermarket sheet as the kit decals left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, it suffered a 90% damage when a loaded shelf above it fell on it. Quite a mess I must say and rather heart-wrenching to boot. Fortunately, the kit isn't tough to find. In fact, it is one that doesn't seem to go springing off the shop shelves, either.
First is a Ju-87B-2 from 1./StG 3 in North Africa. It is shown as being RLM 79 sand upper with RLM 71 mottle and RLM 65 undersides. From what I've read, these planes were painted in the standard RLM 70/71/65 as are the others on this sheet and the RLM 79 sand (or a similar Italian sand color) was painted over that. I suspect that this is the case with this aircraft. Anyway, it has the white lower wing tips, fuselage band and spinner typical of North African planes. This particular sheet will be used on my next Stuka, so stay tuned for that!
Next is a B-1 from 10./LG 1 in 1942. This plane is about as standard as you can get. Only the spinner stripe and unit badge distinguish it.
Same for the next one. This B-1 is from 9./StG 1 in Russia yet has none of the normal Russian front markings. Though the sheet states it is from 1842, I think that's a misprint!
There are data markings and insignia for two planes on this sheet. The data placement guide shows a D or G model, but that is not a problem as the markings placement is correct.
