NOTES:

`

Superscale's second sheet for early F-86Ds has two units on it. One of them is the 63rd FIS. Unlike most air defense squadrons, the 63rd didn't have a ton of color on each of its aircraft, only a small tail comet in red and white. However, if you are looking for a scheme that doesn't involve a lot of extra work, this one should fit the bill quite nicely.

The other markings are for the 35th FIS. This set is much more involved with nose and tail bands as well as fuselage stripes.

Like the other sheet, this one gives you the OD anti-glare panels and the white stripes for around the radome. It also has the correct font for the F-86D; a font that was somewhat unique to North American and not at all like the 45 degree angled stuff you normally see on USAF aircraft of this time.

It is a sheet that is much appreciated by those of us who have been waiting months for an aftermarket sheet for early F-86Ds. I'd love to see more of them, but talking to those in the know, finding photographic evidence that pins down the early birds is not as easy as one would think.
