Notes:

About a year or so ago, there were a number of USAF ANG and AFRC units that were celebrating anniversaries of some sort. Many of the units were doing a 50 year thing and wanted something special. The aircraft for these two schemes definitely went all out and did some very eye-catching schemes.

Superscale has provided a very comprehensive sheet to allow you to duplicate these schemes. There is a full data set for one aircraft and insignia for both, so you can use the kit data markings for one of them. The instructions are quite well researched and offer a full stencil placement guide as well as standard markings.

The first aircraft is from the 149 FS, Virginia ANG. This particular aircraft is marked up similarly to the WWII P-51D Mustang 'Cripes a Mighty' with a blue nose and red rudder. It even has invasion stripes on the lower fuselage (which you will have to paint). The insignia for this one is a WWII variety without the red bar in it. A very colorful scheme and one that will bound to get a lot of looks.

The other F-16c is from the 302 FS. This one is fully outfitted with the red tail of this famous WWII unit. It also has a red  intake section with red wing tips (missile rails) as on the WWII birds. There is a red and yellow 'nose' marking around the intake and yellow stripes need to be painted around each wing (or you can use yellow decal stripes).  A most flamboyant color scheme that will be hard to miss!
