Sheet now OOP

One of the most built and certainly most wide-spread aircraft of the 70's is the Mig-21. The number of countries still flying versions of this Russian interceptor is still quite large and the many upgrades available for it means that it will certainly continue flying well into the 21st Century.

Probably the greatest production of the Mig-21 was the MF and bis versions. Both are very nearly identical airframes with the bis version having the fuselage spine go a little deeper into the vertical tail section than the MF. Most modelers can't tell the difference unless the two aircraft are parked side by side. This sheet offers markings for MF, bis, and SMT versions. Unless noted, they are for an MF.

Though obviously designed for the KP 1/72 kit, this sheet offers markings for a total of 9 different aircraft!

First on the list is an Indian AF version from 37 Squadron in green and grey. The next is also Indian AF, but from 7 Sq in Dark Green, Medium Grey and Dark Grey. Colors given are approximations and though the sheet offers FS equivalents, they should not be taken as gospel.

The third aircraft is a bis version of the Finnish AF in dark and light Olive Green over grey from the Karella Wing.

Fourth is a 26 Sq Egyptian AF aircraft in Tan, Dark Grey and Medium Green over Light Grey with a note that the Dark Grey was crudely applied.

An East German aircraft in Green and Dark Green over Pale Blue is next.

Moving on, we have a Czechoslovakian AF version in overall bare metal.

The last three are all Soviet AF. An MF in Green and Tan over Pale Blue, an SMT in a Green and Dark Green wrap, and finally an Aerobatic team MF in Bare Metal and Red.

None of the schemes show wing markings, which makes doing the camouflaged versions a bit tough, so unless one has other references, guesswork will be needed.

Overall a nice sheet with a number of interesting schemes.
