Even though this sheet is about 25 years old (or more), it is still very current in its choice of subjects. This is thanks to the recent release of the ProModeler/Revell kit in 1/48. Now I'm betting that both of these planes are equipped with parabrakes since the date on the units is 1956, so you'll be needing the Revell AG boxing for this one.
First scheme is for a blue tailed 498 FIS plane at the 1956 air gunnery meet in Yuma, AZ. This one is quite similar to the markings in the ProModeler box, but has a nice fuselage art and the name "Big Viv". All of the blue areas will have to be painted on this one, though the white areas that may be needed are provided.
Next is a 25 FIS Sabre Dog from Naha, Okinawa, also in 1956. This one is named "Julie" on an access door, though somehow, that decal didn't make it on the sheet, nor did the large 'U.S. AIR FORCE' so you'll have to get that marking from another source. Insignia are also not included, but the ProMod/Revell decal sheet is actually very good so you can use those. The main motif on this plane is a red lightning bolt and black and white checked tail.
Though this sheet has long been out of production, you may be able to find it at a swap meet or some other locale.
