Thanks to some recently done 1/48 F-106A sheets, we now have a great pair of nice 1/72 sheets. This set is for the Hasegawa F-106A, still the only kit that most can find for this aircraft. Revell did one back in the 60s, but it is more of a collector's item that one that would be used.

Both of the aircraft for this sheet are of the type that has the 'clear canopy as supplied in the kit', which I guess means the one without the frame down the center. Both are in FS 16473 ADC Grey.

First is from the 465 FIS at Castle AFB and this one has the commander's stripes on the fuselage.

The other is from the Air Defense Weapons Development Center (ADWC) at Tyndall AFB in Florida. These are the folks that hold the 'William Tell' weapons meet from time to time.

Both are colorful and there are enough common markings for both and enough insignia for one.
