Part of the 'master plan' at Superscale seems to be to take 1/48 sheets (which really are the more popular in the US) and then resize them to 1/72, 1/32 or both. It is a great way to provide interesting markings to other scale builders, and yet help to keep the costs of artwork and the like to a reasonable level.

This is the first of two B-17 sheet in 1/72 and has a B-17F and a B-17G on it. Recommended kits are by Hasegawa but I don't see why the Academy versions wouldn't work. Those hiding an older Airfix B-17G should be able to use it as well.  The G shows the 'Cheyenne' turret so check your references as this may not be accurate. Both are in OD over Neutral Grey.

'Thunderbird' is a rather famous bomber from the 359th BS and is shown in 1944 with a rather impressive mission tally and large group marking on the fin. The deicer boot on the fin has been removed, showing unpainted metal. This is the B-17G of the sheet.

The B-17F is 'Thumper' of the 360 BS in 1943. It is pretty basic B-17 and has medium green splotches on the fin.

Thanks to the scale, insignia and some data markings for both are included.
