It is great to see more F-4s. This is the result of reducing some 1/48 stuff and that is fine with me. Suggested kit is the Hasegawa as that is what the decals were sized for. However, if you have the Fujimi F-4s hanging about, I bet they would fit those as well. Both aircraft are in FS36440 on the upper sides.

The F-4B is from VMFA-513 before they discovered AV-8A Harriers. It has a white radome and white fin/rudder as well as the usual white upper surface control surfaces. This was typical in 1973.

The F-4N is from 1980 and not only does not have a white radome, but the upper flight control surfaces were not white either. According to sources, the aircraft was overall Light Gull Grey. The fin is very dark blue (insignia blue) on this CAG bird. If this aircraft was being readied for the Iranian hostage rescue operation, then it should have bands on the outer portion of the right wing These bands were one broad orange one flanked by two narrower black versions.  Below is an image of these being painted on a VMFA-323 F-4N.

There are nose anti-glare panels for both and a set of intake walkways for one aircraft. I'm thinking that perhaps the 1973 plane could have the huge wing decals, but until I can get some confirmation of that, I'd go with what is provided.
