Shrinking
down some 1/48 material to 1/72, we have a nice pair of Tomcats. The
markings are scaled to the Hasegawa kits, but I'd bet that they could be
tweaked to fit others from Revell AG, Airfix, Fujimi and so on.
First up is one of the air show birds from the early 1990s with VF-124. It is in overall FS 16440 with very dark blue fins, making for a relatively easy aircraft to paint. The canopy area is also in this very dark blue.
The other is the VX-9 'Black Bunny' F-14D, which was in service until only very recently. This scheme is even easier to paint, an overall gloss black.
