For their second new 1/72 B-17G sheet, Superscale has picked another nice pair of nose art planes. This sheet is designed for the new Revell B-17G or the older Academy kit. As many of you know, the Revell kit has the Cheyenne tail gun and non-staggered side windows. I have to assume that this sheet has aircraft which fit that particular range of aircraft so built.

This sheet has two options on it, both of them are overall unpainted metal with Olive Drab nose and engine anti-glare panels. The sheet includes one nose anti-glare panel decal set.

The first option is from July 1944. 'Carolina Moon' is with the 851st BS and sorts a red fin tip and red bands on the wings and tail planes.

Similarly painted is 'Bobby Sox' from May 1945 and with the 850th BS. The decal sheet provides a single set of red bands for the horizontal stabilizers, but the rest of the red bits and de-icer boots will need to be painted.

TThe instructions include a superb data placement guide so you can get the stencils properly located. The sheet also includes enough major data markings and insignia to do both options.  Cartograf is now Superscale's default printer and the sheet is superbly done.
