Another fine new sheet from Super Scale for the Hasegawa or Monogram 1/48 F-18C Hornet. Thankfully the markings are not ones that have to be properly sized as I understand the Monogram's fins are shorter than those on the Hasegawa kit.

There are two options on this sheet, both of them in the Dark Ghost Grey over Light Ghost Grey scheme, but not exactly identical paint applications. The sheet provides insignia for both aircraft and some more common data markings for both.

Option one is the CAG bird from VFA-97. This one has fins painted in Dark Sea Blue as has become the de facto norm.

The second option is VFA-37's CAG bird. For this plane, the color is Gloss Blue and it has the lighter Ghost Grey painted on all the upper fuselage area that is not in blue.  Another increasing trait is that these planes have no wing insignia, something unheard of when I was in the Navy.

The decals are superbly printed by Cartograf in Italy and the sheet also provides LEREX walk areas for both planes.
