Another nice pair of Mustangs for you. Again the Tamiya kit is preferred and again you could probably use others though there may be a need to fudge on some decals as not all kits are created equal. Both are in unpainted metal.
First is from the 462nd FS/506 Fg and has the medium yellow empennage with unpainted flying control surfaces typical of this unit. 'Shanghai Lil' also has an unpainted spinner with dual VHF antennas as nearly all island based Mustangs carried. These were the IFF antennas.
The other is a K model P-51 so 'Sunshine of the 348th FG needs the Aero Products prop. Black 5th AF bands on the wings and fuselage with a multicolored spinner. The instructions show the size of the wing bands. Both the canopy surround and the anti-glare panel are black on this one.
Common data markings and insignia for one with additional white backgrounds for the 5th AF plane to help keep the black bands from bleeding through.
Another fine sheet for those who like late war planes.
