Since the researcher for Superscale happens to have a lot of references for the 405th FG, we have three more nicely done aircraft from that unit. Recommended kit is the Tamiya version, though you could probably get these markings to fit the Hasegawa and Monogram and Hawk kits if you wished.
First up is 'Jabo' in its P-47D-26 guise. This 509 FS aircraft has a red stripe on the fin, stabs and red on the wing tips, canopy frame, radio mast, nose, spinner, cowl flaps, wing gun panels, rudder trim tab, and exhaust that will all have to be painted on.
There is also 'Jabo' in its P-47D-22 scheme. This time the tail and stab stripes are black and supplied as decals. Nose is also black with the canopy frame in red and left-over invasion stripes on the bottom of the fuselage.
The lone painted aircraft is a P-47D-15, 'Raid Hot Mama' from the 510th FS. This one has all the early P-47 ID markings in terms of a white cowling and white stab/fin stripes. The canopy surround is a medium blue.
Data and insignia enough for one of these aircraft and a fine data placement guide to help as well.
