This sheet provides markings for a specially painted F-18E Super Hornet from the test and evaluation squadron, VX-9. This consists of an additional right side nose art and under wing markings to commemorate the annual Army Navy Football game. I'm pretty sure that shortly after that event, the markings were painted out, but it does make for an interesting scheme. Those wishing to forego the special markings can build this as a standard VX-9 F-18E. The tails are painted Insignia Blue on both sides before applying the yellow stripes. I'm not sure how opaque these stripes are and it may be a good idea to paint them on, just in case. Details on how to properly apply the nose stripe is given and the shadowed markings are provided separately so you can get them properly aligned.  A note states that the fin badge with five stars goes on the right side, but both of them have four so if that is the case, I guess someone missed something.  Now the nose bands each have a different number of stars on them, so perhaps that is what was meant.

Overall, a nice sheet for your Revell or Hasegawa F-18E.
