I'm thinking that perhaps this is a reprint of an earlier sheet or maybe one done a long time ago in 1/72. I sure seem to recall these markings. Anyway the recommended (not 'sized for') kit is the Tamiya version. There are lots of others and you may have to trim markings to get them to fit depending on the kit you use. Both planes are unpainted metal.

First up is from the 2nd FS/2nd ACG in Burma in 1945 as this unit wasn't around for very long. It has a white/black spinner, and canopy frame with an OD anti-glare panel. Stripes around wings and tailplanes.

Next is a P-5K from the 460FS and flown by the C.O. Bill Dunham. This one is decked out in full 5th AF 'PI Stripes' (which you will have to paint in place). Spinner is red, yellow, blue and black to cover the squadron colors and the anti-glare panel/canopy frame are black.. A most colorful aircraft.

Insignia and some data markings for one aircraft.
