There are a lot of different markings you can put on the P-47 and this sheet carries a nice pair. The recommended kit for these are by Tamiya though in this case, you could use others without any real fit problems aside from perhaps the fuselage insignia.
First up is a P-47D-22 from the 63 FS/56 FG in OD/Neutral Grey. The forward cowling is red with areas where old markings were removed in fresh Olive Drab. The modeler will have to paint the lower D-Day stripes, but really, this works the best. This aircraft has a 13' Hamilton Standard prop.
The other is an unpainted metal P-47D-25 called 'The Trojan Warhorse' from the 86 FS/79 FG. This one has a red prop hub, red cowl flaps and a blue tail. A Curtiss Electric 13' prop on this one along with a retrofitted fin fillet.
Insignia and data markings for one aircraft are included.
