The A-7 Corsair II started its Naval career with a war in Vietnam, and ended it with a war in Iraq. A rather fitting start and finish for a warplane. This particular sheet is for the Trumpeter 1/32 A-7E Corsair II and is the squadron commander's plane. It was originally painted in overall FS 36320, but had faded to around FS 36375 by the time it was retires. Actually, since those two colors are pretty close to each other anyway, it makes little difference, though an intrepid modeler should be able to use them both with the darker shade on the bottom where the fading would have been less.

The decal sheet is very well done with all the needed stripes and markings, though the modeler will have to paint the blue fin tip. Any additional data markings can come from the kit decal sheet.

This sheet is a fitting tribute to the end of an era.
