When Superscale initially got into 1/32 scale, they did so in a big way. In fact, they produced quite a large number of sheets, many of them for the F-18A Hornet. At that time, both Hasegawa and Revell came out with these big scale Hornets. Hasegawa's was a prototype/preproduction aircraft and the Revell kit wasn't that much newer. As such, both had to have some work done, but they were very close to production planes.

This sheet is for the CAG bird from VFA-132 'Privateers' in the usual three grey tactical paint scheme. The fonts for the main markings was quite unusual and to my knowledge, this is the only unit that ever used it. The aircraft requires an anti-glare panel in black and on the instruction sheet is a template to be used. Typical of these sheets, no data or common markings are included aside from insignia. That will have to come from the kit. One can backdate the current Academy kit if one wishes to use these F-18A type markings.
