NOTES:

For Heller kit.

Starfighter Decals has decided to pack a lot into this sheet for the Heller Helldiver. I guess you could also use the Matchbox one for most of these schemes, though it is not designed for it. Unless noted, the schemes are overall aluminum lacquer with yellow upper wings. The builder will need to paint the cowlings and tail surfaces.

First up are a pair of planes from Scouting 3 aboard the USS Saratoga in 1938 with the white tails.

From the USS Yorktown is the red tailed aircraft from Scouting 5 in 1939.

The blue tailed aircraft is a Scouting 5 plane from the USS Enterprise in 1938.

Moving to the non-fleet units is a plane from Carrier Division 2 in 1940 with a blue tail

Our first Marine plane is from the 1st Marine Air WIng in 1940 with the tricolor on the rudder.

The green tailed plane is from NRAB St.Louis in 1939.

Finally, our lone camouflaged plane in blue-grey upper and ANA 602 undersides from VMO-151 on Samoa in Sept 1942.

There are enough common markings to do two of the planes on the sheet if one of those two is the final option. There are also white and black trim decals for around the cowling. The instructions are quite well done and the sheet is superbly printed by Cartograf. The sheet also includes prop tip warning decals.

It is a great sheet and a very good price. If you have been waiting for some decent markings to do your SBC Helldiver, your wait is over.
