Returning to old Monogram subjects, this Starfighter Decals sheet has markings for the F11C-2/BFC-2 Goshawk. As you probably know, the BFC-2 was little more than a modified F11C-2 that had a partial canopy and a higher rear decking. Starfighter Decals plans to release a conversion set for this in the near future, but for now, one can use the kit as it is for few will notice the difference.

There are markings for two F11C-2s, these planes both being from the USS Saratoga and with VF-1B. The other four options are for BFC-2s with three from VF-2B and VF-3B aboard the Saratoga and the fourth with VB-6 aboard the USS Enterprise.

The sheets contain full upper wing and fuselage bands in the proper True Blue and Lemon Yellow shades. Though the BFC-2 had a fatter fuselage thanks to the slightly taller rear decking, these fuselage bands are designed to fit the Monogram kit as it is. If you modify the decking height, you'll have to paint the bands.

An excellent set of decals that are superbly printed by Cartograf. Now you can toss those nasty kit markings and build your Goshawk kit!
