NOTES:

For any 1/72 P-6E Hawk

The second new Starfighter Decals sheet is this one on the P-6E Hawk. In 1/72 we have two kits. One is the Monogram version from way back when that has recently been re-released in an Accurate Miniatures box. The second is a fairly nice kit from Olimp.

Hawks of this period were generally decked out in yellow wings and tail surfaces with either an Olive Drab of ANA 23 Light Blue. Both options are provided on this sheet of four aircraft.

First is from the 33rd PS from 1938. It has the Light Blue fuselage with a red forward engine cowling.

In the same colors is one from the 94th PS back in 1936.

Also with the Light Blue fuselage is the third options from  the 36 PS in 1936 This aircraft has two yellow fuselage bands (supplied as decals)

The final options is from 1934 and has the Olive Drab 22 fuselage. This 94th PS aircraft is quite colorful with a complete red nose outlined in yellow. The red fuselage stripe is part of the decals, but the yellow demarcation band will need painted in place. Note that this appears to be the only one of the four options with a radio.

The sheet provides complete insignia, tail stripes and 'US ARMY' logos for two planes. These sheets are printed with an ALPS printer so you need to cut out each individual marking and exercise care in handling these rather fragile decals. Use only the weakest setting solution such as the Microscale system.

In all, an excellent sheet that should find favor with a lot of modelers.
