Once upon a time, there was a company that did decals called Scalemaster. They provided a number of useful products including letter/number sets in different colors and fonts, insignias, and a set of very useful stripe decals in several widths. They also did aircraft decals, generally with one subject per sheet. In a time when most sheets offered multiple options, this worked somewhat against Scalemaster and sales were not as hoped.

This is one of those sheets. It is for a VP-40 P-3C Orion and designed for the Hasegawa 1/72 P-3C kit. The sheet offers only unique markings with the rest having to come from the kit decals. These are well printed and while the red bits have bled somewhat (a common problem with Scalemaster), the rest of the sheet is in remarkably good condition considering it is open.

These have not been available for decades, but one can still find them from time to time.
