PMA Decals PMAD017: Seafire FR.47

This set from PMA decals is a nice set of markings for a Korean War Seafire FR.47. The Airfix kit is the only injected Seafire FR.47 of which I am aware so that would be the logical choice for this sheet. It is for an aircraft from 800 Squadron aboard the HMS Triumph during the start of the war in 1950.

The decals are superbly done and contain all of the roundels, codes and data markings required for one aircraft. The quality of the markings is first rate and much better than the kit decals. I appreciate that the under wing serials are done in sections, making them a snap to apply. The builder will have to paint the black and white bands that go around the wings and the fuselage. The full color instructions show four views of the aircraft for painting and decal placement. They include color references for Gunze, Tamiya, and Humbrol paints.

In all, an excellent choice for replacement markings.
