With the recent issue of the Lockheed Hudson/Model 14 by Classic Airframes, Max Decals figured it was a great time to issue a decal sheet for it. As with most of the Max Decals sheets, this one has a decidedly Irish flavor to it, and rightly so. This particular sheet covers a number of different aircraft.
First off there are two military Hudsons on the sheet. A camouflaged Mk I from the Irish Air Corps in 1941. The other is a Mark III from the New Zealand AF air rescue service from 1948. This one is in overall natural metal and without the turret.
There are three civil variants. Two from Aer Lingus, the first in overall natural metal. The second scheme on this same plane is a camouflaged version with large Irish flags on the side The underside is either grey or natural metal, though it may also have been orange, a common color for neutral nations. The final civil scheme is a Model 14 sold to New Guinea Airways and camouflaged. It may have had rudder or fin stripes as well.
A really super sheet for several very interesting aircraft. As with other Max Decal sheets, it is superbly printed and should fit extremely well.
