It is darn unusual nowadays to find a sheet for 1/144 fighters. Many of us mourned the loss of the Microscale sheets that used to be produced and hoard those we have quite jealously!

Now it appears that Leading Edge is producing some for the special commemorative schemes that have been applied to the various CF-188 Hornets over the years. This sheet for 425 squadron from 1996-98 was spotted at a model contest and quickly scarfed up. It appears that there is sufficient decal material to properly cover the kit, though it would be nice if there were some extra red and blue provided in case of mistakes. The instruction sheet hints at there being some, but I'll be darned if I could find it.

Typical of Leading Edge, the registration is spot on. In addition, LE provides the false canopy for for both a wheels up and wheels down version. Having used LE decals before, I can tell you that they are really very nice indeed and fit beautifully. I look forward to using this sheet on an upcoming project!
