Continuing with new releases from Jasmine Models is this 1/48 sheet on the Blue Angels F-18A. The sheet contains enough markings to do any one of the team's planes.

The decals are superbly printed and seem to have a white backing to all the yellow bits to prevent problems with bleed-through. The modeler will need to  paint the tips of the wings, fin and stabs, an easy enough job in 1/48, as there is no room on the sheet for these items and in this scale, they look better painted anyway.  There are serials and pilot names for nine aircraft. No chart is provided for any of these aside from what you can glean from the placement/painting guide for aircraft #1, but a check of www.blueangels.navy.mil may shed light as to which goes with which. I'm not sure what season this represents, but since the logos are for a 'Boeing' Hornet, it has to be within the last 10 years.

Overall, a very fine sheet that is most welcome. I particularly like the resealable bag and the inclusion of a large sheet of waxed paper to keep the decals from sticking.  I've heard a number of comments from readers that they couldn't find a good sheet for the Blue Angels F-18. Well there are now three of them, one in all the major scales, so look no more. If you can't find this locally, ask your hobby shop to order it for you or order it direct from the link below.
