This next sheet from Fundekals covers the F-102A in 1/48 scale. This is part one of two sheets and covers six different aircraft.

The first option is from the 48 FIS at Langley AFB in 1959. Like most F-102s in ADC, this one is in overall ADC Grey with a white fin. Wing fences are in red.

Next is one from the 317 FIS based at Elmendorf AFB Alaska in 1966. This one has yellow wing fences and has what were known as Artic Markings in international orange on the wings and fin.

The third option is a NACA test aircraft, replete with the yellow NACA tail band. This JF-102A was operated out of the Ames Research Center in California during 1957. This plane has no tail hook.

A nicely done drone 102 is next. This one is in SEA camouflage, which was worn by many 102 units in the last years of their operational lives. International orange on fin and wings while this one has a nice sharkmouth.

The fifth option is a NASA plane operated from the NASA Lewis Research Center in Ohio during 1974. This plane is unpainted metal with a very large black swath running from the intakes to the fin. THis will need a bit of masking. Red wing fences.

Finally, a scheme that has been on other decal sheets, a 4 FIS plane based at Misawa AFB in 1962 named 'Red Striped Rascal' due to the commander's bands in red and the red/black checkered tail.

The decal sheet itself is superbly printed and show no errors in registration. At the moment, the only kit for this plane in this scale is the Monogram F-102, which despite its years, still make into the very nice model. What makes these decals somewhat different is that they do not come to you with instructions and require you to download them from their web site. They come in .pdf format and provide markings placement guides for each of the options. Some of these include a photo. There is a description of each plane that includes the type of wing that was used.

In all, a great sheet that will be much appreciated by the F-102 modeler who wants to do something aside from what comes in the kit box.

Thanks to Fundekals for the review sheet. You can find this set at Fundekals web site.
