Vinyl Mask

An accessory that has grown in popularity over the years has been vinyl masks. Designed for model clear bits, there are even masks for camouflage schemes and other areas where masking is important. This particular set is designed for the Hasegawa family of 1/48 AH-64 Apache kits.

The mask includes sections for the canopy and wheel hubs. As you can see, this one includes masks that cover the entire canopy bits. I've been asked why some are just outlines and other like this. Basically, if the canopy is a lot of flat panels, like the Apache, then you get the full masks as vinyl masks have difficulty covering large compound curves. This set also includes masks for the FLIR/targeting pod as well as two other masks for which I cannot determine their use.

I have not shown the actual mask as you'd see nothing but a black rectangle. The set cover does a fine job of showing what is included.  Overall it is a very handy item and if you have never used a mask set, I think you will be pleased.
