Vinyl Mask

An accessory that has grown in popularity over the years has been vinyl masks. Designed for model clear bits, there are even masks for camouflage schemes and other areas where masking is important. This particular set is designed for the Hasegawa family of 1/48 AV-8B Harrier II kits.

The mask includes sections for the canopy and wheel hubs. Basically you get the outline of the canopy parts as a mask and can fill in the rest with tape or your favorite masking medium. While designed for the Hasegawa kit, it may work on others in this scale. On a note, I have no idea what the the two other masks are for as I've not built this particular kit.

I have not shown the actual mask as you'd see nothing but a blue rectangle. The set cover does a fine job of showing what is included.  Overall it is a very handy item and if you have never used a mask set, I think you will be pleased.
