Vinyl Mask

An accessory that has grown in popularity over the years has been vinyl masks. Designed for model clear bits, there are even masks for camouflage schemes and other areas where masking is important. This particular set is designed for the Hasegawa 1/48 F-8 Crusader series of kits.

The mask includes areas for the windscreen, main canopy section, the visible raised portion of the front of the wing, the aft fuselage walkway areas and the walkway area on the inside of the tailplanes. A set of hub masks for the wheels is also part of the package.

If you are wondering if this set will fit the Monogram kit, I have no idea. I'm sure the upper fuselage walk areas will, but since it is not designed for that kit, I've no idea if it will be equally useful in that regard.

I have not shown the actual mask as you'd see nothing but a black rectangle. The set cover does a fine job of showing what is included.  Overall it is a very handy item and if you have never used a mask set, I think you will be pleased.
