Twelve Options |
Furball Aero-Design has given us another superlative decal sheet for the Super Bug. In this case, there are seven markings options for the Hasegawa F-18E/F. Will these fit the Revell kit? I do not know, but one will have to be careful with the tail markings as the Revell offering has been cited for having fins that are a bit undersize.
All options are in a base color of FS 36320 and FS 36375, so having CAG birds as most the subjects will help to alleviate all that grey. The set is superbly printed by Cartograf and includes sufficient stencils and common markings to build any two options on the set. If you want to do more, use the kit decals as appropriate.
Here is a rundown of what is on the sheet. Note that just about all of these are quite recent schemes.
VFA-81, F/A-18E 166830, “NA 200”, USS CARL VINSON, 2015

In concert with other Furball Aero-Design sheets, you will find a most complete placement guide that offers snippets of information on each aircraft. A comprehensive data placement guide is also included. These planes, especially those in overall light gull grey, were generally festooned with markings. Later TPS planes, not quite so much. For those planes with outlined anti-glare panels, the set includes the fine pinstriping.
As always, an excellent sheet for the Superbug fan. These sheets have historically sold out relatively quickly, so I recommend picking yours up at the earliest opportunity.
