Here's another sheet of blue nose Mustangs. All of these are D models in bare metal. There is a small additional sheet that has wing/tail ID stripes.

First is John Meyer's 'Petie 3rd' from the 487th FS. It has black belly stripes and the usual Mustang ID stripes. Note that there is no white portion of the belly D-day stripes. Rudder and nose are in blue.

Next is 'Moonbeam McSwine', the mount of William Whistner, also of the 478th. This aircraft has a replacement nose panel in a lighter color than the rest of the nose.

Finally, from the 486th FS is 'Hell-er Bust' of E.I. Heller. This aircraft has an impressive tally (as do the other two) and a yellow rudder.

The sheet is designed for the Tamiya kit, but any 1/48 P-51D kit could just as easily be used.

As usual, I've cropped some of the common markings from the  bottom of the sheet.
