Usually 357 FG decal sheets concentrate on the later D models of the Mustang. On this sheet, Eagle Strike has decided to go with the earlier B versions. Most are various shade of OD on the upper side, with most of them having D-day stripes of various extents.  Eagle strike provides nose checkers for four planes and common markings and insignia for three of them. The D-day stripes will have to be painted on. I've deliberately not scanned the common markings, which cover a large portion of the 1 1/2 sheets provided with this set. For those of us who have trouble with multi-colored spinners, the yellow band is provided as a decal.

The first plane is from the 363rd FS and is named 'Berlin Express'. This OD/neutral grey aircraft has the Malcolm hood that was often used in place of the North American supplied canopy.

Next is 'Pappy's Answer', an RAF green/neutral grey painted B that also has the Malcolm hood replacement canopy. This aircraft from the 364th FS has an impressive mission tally on the nose.

From the 362nd FS is this rather flamboyantly painted B mode that has a unique interpretation of the group's checkered nose!

Also from the 362nd is 'Geronimo', the same plane as above, but at a later date.

Finally is 'Jersey Bounce', again, from the 362nd. As with the above aircraft, it has full D-day wing stripes and a bare metal underside/fuselage side.

Any of these options will make for a very nice model. The Tamiya kit is what is recommended, but the ICM and Monogram kits should work equally as well.
