Moving along with more F-106 sheets, is this one covering two nice aircraft whose predominant color is yellow. The only kit in this scale is the older, but still nice Monogram kit that was recently reissued under the Revell label. There are nearly two full sheets for this one as the stripes for the tanks and fins take up a second sheet.
First on the list is an F-106A from the 171 FIS, Michigan ANG during 1972. This unit did not fly the 106 for too long a period before converting to the F-4C in the early 1970s. They flew the F-4 until the early 1990s and always were a popular unit at shows. This one has the later 'blown' canopy.
The other is from the 5th FIS and has to be one of the most decaled 106s around as you can find 59-0005 on the sheets of at least two other decal makers. Theirs do not have the squadron commander's band on the forward fuselage, though. This one also has the blown hood (i.e. there is no central framework).
Enough insignia and common markings on the sheet to do one plane, so choose wisely!
