Seems like the F-18 is getting some decal interest recently. This reminds me quite a bit of how the F-14 and before it the F-4 was treated by decal makers. Of course, back then, there were not as many players in the game, but I'd be willing to bet that each of these old warriors has well over 100 different sheets dedicated to them with even more being produced!

This sheet is for the Hornets that took part in various operations over Afghanistan and Iraq prior to the recent invasion, specifically Desert Fox in 1999 and Afghan ops in June of 2001. Each aircraft has a remarks section describing any specific oddities that the modeler should be cognizant of prior to beginning work. All are in the current Tactical Paint Scheme.

First is the CAG bird from VFA-147 from the USS John Stennis in June of 2001.

Next is another CAG bird, but this time from VF-81 aboard the USS George Washington  during that time.

From Operation Desert Fox comes this VFA-105 Hornet from the USS Enterprise. While CAG birds are nice, it is equally nice to have a 'normal' aircraft on these sheets.

Suggested aircraft is the Hasegawa kit, but those on a budget will find the Monogram version to be quite usable as well. The sheet includes full data/insignia for two planes.
