To add to the large number of F-4 decal sheets already out there, Eagle Strike adds one more. You may notice that just about all the more recent Phantom releases have been for those in the light gull grey and white scheme. It is unfortunate that the low visibility schemes just don't seem to sell well, so those of us who might want to do one are pretty well out of luck unless we can find an older sheet. Naturally, the Hasegawa F-4B/N or F-4J kits are recommended, though you could just as easily use the Monogram kit for the J version. Even the older and less accurate ESCI versions could be used if you so desire.

First up is a VMFA-323 F-4N as the CAG bird aboard the USS Coral Sea in 1980. It is in overall gloss gull grey.

From VMFA-235 is this red-nosed F-4J from 1975. Have fun applying the stars to the nose!

Finally, a bicentennial (1976) scheme on this VMFA-451 F-4J that deployed aboard the USS Forrestal. It is painted in the light gull grey over white scheme same as its predecessor. I used a Microscale sheet to do this scheme on a Monogram F-4J back about 15 years ago and it turned into a superb looking model.

This is a particularly large set of decals and includes a half sheet with most of the black and white markings on it.
