$12.50 for the 1/72 sheet

Scott Van Aken

This latest set from EagleCals is the 1/72 sheet for the Mosquito FB.MkVI. The decals are available in 1/48 and 1/32 as well. I'm pleased that the 1/72 sheet was sent as that is my preferred scale (as much to declining display space as anything else).

There are fouroptions on this sheet with most of them in the standard scheme of dark green and  medium sea grey uppers over medium sea grey undersides.

The first option is EG-T from 487 Squadron. This one is the exception to the previously mentioned camo scheme as it has ocean grey as part of its upper surface colors. This scheme is from February 1944.

Next is TH-H from 418 Squadron. This one is named 'Lady Luck' and has a small art work on the entrance door. It is from October 1944 so has invasion stripes on the underside of the fuselage.

SB-S is from 464 Squadron in March 1945 and is standard in every way. Sky codes.

Finally UP-J named 'Wag's War Wagon' is from 605 Squadron in March 1944. This aircraft has a black underside.

The instruction sheet is in full color with information on each option. A full data placement guide is provided. The decals are superbly printed and include insignia and data markings for two planes. As for kits, there are several from Airfix, Hasegawa and Tamiya to name just three.
