The recent issue of the new Academy 1/32 F-18C has seen the production of more decal sheets for a 1/32 plane than I've seen in a long time. This one is for the CAG bird of VFA-131 aboard the USS JFK during its 2002/2003 cruise. One of the more gaudy CAG schemes of recent years, the bright colors are painted over the standard simplified scheme of FS 36320 over 36375.  It seems like the massive data stencil suite of earlier navy planes is gone from the new generation of jets. A full simplified set of stencils and insignia is provided in the sheet for you to complete this very colorful aircraft. I'm not sure why the additional modex's (nose numbers) are provided as the sheet says nothing about them. Perhaps they are for the drop tanks.
