Caracal Models CD 48157: L-39 Albatros
This next new sheet from Caracal Models is dedicated to the L-39C Albatros. This primary jet trainer was used extensively by the Warsaw Pact and with the fall of the Soviet Union, and the need for these now unfettered nations to have some hard currency, a considerable number of these aircraft were sold off on the private market. So many, in fact, that the Reno Air Races has a separate category just for these aircraft. They are fairly common visitors to air shows around the world and especially in the US where it is easier to license war birds like this.
I am guessing that since there are already some great aftermarket sheet for the military markings fan, that it was dediced to concentrate on some of the more interesting civilian schemes. So we have three options on this sheet.
L-39C Albatros N55107: This is a civilian L-39 painted in the famous VX-9 "Black Bunny" scheme
L-39C Albatros NX139LE, Skyline Aviation
L-39C Albatros NX139LZ, Skyline Aviation
The decals are printed by Cartograf and you are provided a full markings guide as well as a stencil placement guide. Something a bit different from the norm that you might want to consider. The markings are sized for the Trumpeter kit.
