Caracal Models has come out with another excellent decal sheet for the F-106 in ANG service. This sheet covers six aircraft from three different units. All of these planes are in the standard scheme of ADC Grey FS 16473 overall with black radome and antiglare panels. There is no kit recommended, but the markings look like they will fit both the venerable Monogram F-106A and the new Trumpeter version.

First up is the 194 FIS California ANG in their white tail scheme. This will require the fin and rudder to be painted white by the modeler. Both an F-106A and F-106B serial are provided and this scheme is from the early 1980s.

Next up is a 171 FIS, Michigan ANG plane. This unit flew the type for only a few years, one of the shortest uses of the type before converting to F-4C Phantom IIs. Both options are from 1976 and provide markings for one single seat and one two seat plane.

The final option is one of the longest operators of the type, the 119 FIS New Jersey ANG. These markings are from 1983/84 and also provide 106A and 106B serial numbers.

The sheet comes with enough common markings for one plane, though you can easily glean what you need for another build from the kit decals. A full color instruction sheet is provided and while there is currently no dedicated F-106B kit, I'll bet that Trumpeter will have one out in the near future.
