Caracal has decided to provide some of the markings on its 1/48 sheets for the 1/32 modeler and the first one in a while is this nice one for the T-33A. As you probably know, there is only one kit available for this plane in this scale and that is the one from Czech Model. Though it is short run, it can be made into a super model. This sheet is for ANG aircraft with all of them in overall FS 16473 ADC grey with black areas on the nose and inside of the tip tanks. There are six options from five units.

First option is from the 119 FIS, New Jersey ANG. The tip tanks are listed as Fluorescent Red, but I think this was probably International Orange as that was the norm for these applications. Check your references as I could be mistaken about this.

Next is a nice plane from the 178 FIS, North Dakota ANG in 1975. This Happy Hooligans plane has red outer tip tanks. A second option for this unit is provided that has a simple tail band without the red outer tanks. This one is the same plane and is from 1983.

The next one up is from the 123 FIS, Oregon ANG in 1984. A standard set of markings with their red bird emblem on the fin.

From 1986, a 111 FIS Texas ANG plane. This one has the large 'Texans' logo on the fuselage.

Finally, a Shooting Star from the 171 FIS, Michigan ANG with their black and yellow checked rudder.

There are enough insignia, data markings and USAF logos for one aircraft. You should be able to glean additional insignia from the kit markings to do more. The decals themselves are superbly printed by Microscale and the full color instruction booklet provides all the information you need to complete your kit. In all an excellent sheet for the T-33.
