Caracal Models CD 144006: C-5B/M Galaxy

One thing you can generally count on is that the release of a new kit will frequently bring new decal sheets. So it is with the Roden 1/144 C-5 Galaxy kit. Caracal Models has produced a pair of new sheets and this is the first one. Externally the C-5A/B/M are pretty much the same. This sheet is for the current C-5B/M.

The sheet covers two handful of aircraft. Most of them are in the current AMC grey scheme, which is blindingly easy to paint. There are a few that are also in the earlier Euro 1 scheme. Pretty much all the current units are covered in this one. Not surprisingly many are combined regular and reserve units.

There are sufficient insignia, data markings and walkway markings for one plane, though you can use the additional bits and those from the kit for other options.

Instructions are superbly done and show both sides of the Euro 1 scheme. For the top and bottom of this scheme, you are directed to their web site. This set of markings is superbly printed by Cartograf so you know you are getting the best.
