Many Bf-109G models were equipped with underwing 20mm cannon in gondolas. These provided the additional punch required to shoot down American bombers. But these came at a price and that was a reduction in speed and handling as the cannon were heavy. They could also not be dropped in flight so frequently cannon armed 109Gs required some escort. They were also very potent when used for ground attack.

BarracudaCast has produced a superbly done pair of these cannon that will fit both the Hasegawa and the Revell 1/32 109Gs. Apparently the Revell kits do not offer these and the ones for the Hasegawa kit are not completely accurate. These are easy to remove and come with metal gun barrels by Master. The instructions come with photos and they look to be quite easy to remove from the resin sprue.

These are well worth picking up if you want to do a 109 'gunboat'. What's more, they are quite reasonably price.
