Though few and far between, AIMS decal sheets are always well worth the wait. Previously concentrating on Ju-88s and variants, this particular sheet is for the venerable Ju-52. Actually, I should say 'sheets' as there are two full size sheets just chock full of markings. 1/72, of course.
There are nine aircraft on these sheets and I'm showing you profiles for five of them.
Those five are:
The aircraft that transported the eternal flame for the 1936 olympics.
An ambulance aircraft, still painted in pre-war colors and with a black underside.
Next is another ambulance aircraft, this time in all white with the normal black exhaust stain areas.
This is followed by on with a rather unusual upper scheme of RLM 02 painted over much of the normal RLM 70/71 scheme.
The final plane is an aircraft that took part in the Crete operation in the usual colors of RLM 70/71/65. It has the yellow Greek theater markings on the rudder and cowl.
The other four aircraft include a minesweeper, one on floats, a Russian front aircraft and another from that front, but in winter camo.
The printing of the RLM 70 and RLM 71 are so close on the instructions that they are nearly impossible to differentiate, but an addendum sheet for help in painting the standard scheme is provided. For kits, you have one from Heller, and Airfix (not the same kits) as well as one from Italeri, which you'll need to find the Lufthansa boxing for at least one of these schemes. This is a great sheet and I would guess that it will sell out quickly so get yours while the getting is good.
