The F-86 is popular with all sorts of modelers and its widespread use in Korea pretty well cemented its place in history. This is the first of several Korean War Sabre sheets. It is designed for the Hasegawa or Academy kit, though you could probably use the Italeri/ESCI kit or the one by Monogram if you wished. Sabre wings are always a puzzler so you need to pay attention to this little detail. Both of these are F-86Es and while there is no dedicated E kit, they are not that different from the F versions kitted. Do your homework.

First up is "Eight Ball Express" from the 336 FIS/4 FIG. This one has a natural fiberglass nose cone.

The other is "The Chopper" from the 336 FIS/4 FIG. Two sets of 'mouths' are included so that you'll be able to properly get it to fit the kit you are using.

The sheet includes insignia and ID bands for one of the two options. My recommendation would be to paint on the yellow bands and cut out the black trim as I've found that provides a much nicer representation, especially on the fuselage where getting the band to fit requires a great deal of care. The choice, however, is yours. Either option will make a super model.
