Here is the first of a pair of Best Sellers for the B-25. Both of these planes were with the 345 BG and are in OD over Neutral Grey. The kits for this sheet are from Accurate Miniatures, Monogram, and Revell. I'd stay away from the old Revell B-25C/D as it is just not up to standards at all and choose the Accurate Miniatures version for your early Mitchells.
First up is 'Rita's Wagon' as flown by the 500th BS. This B-25D has a red cowling front and the units white fuselage band (which you'll have to paint). It also has what appears to be an open tail position. It is a strafer and includes the 'cheek' guns.
The B-25J gun nose is 'Betty's Dream' from the 499th BS. This one has the engine cowl fronts in dark blue. The sheet provides an outline of the bat nose. You paint the dark blue and then apply the decal. This plane was one that escorted the Japanese peace envoys to Ie Shima in August of 1945.
The sheet provides insignia decals for both planes.
