Once again, Aeromaster comes to the rescue of Sabre fans by producing a number of sheet for Korean War F-86Es and F's. This is particularly good news if one has the Academy F-86 as that is pretty much a dedicated Korean War version, not having the extended F-86F-40 wings that were retrofitted to so many aircraft after the conflict.

This particular sheet is produced by Cartograf in Italy and is really very well done. You get four Mig Killers; one from the 4th FG and the other three from the 51st FG.

The first one is for the E-1 of Maj. FC Blesse of the 334 FS/4 FG. This one has a slatted wing.

Next is 'Nina V' a 6-3 wing F-30 of Col R Baldwin of the 51st FG.

Third subject is 'Three Kings', a slatted wing E-10 of Capt. CG Foster from the 16 FS/51 FG.

Finally there is 'Beautious Butch', a 6-3 wing F-1 of Capt. J McConnell of the 39th FS/51 FG.

While the sheet is designed for the Hasegawa kit, using the Academy kit will be much less work, especially as the second and last scheme can be built right from the box. For those who insist on using the Hasegawa F-40, there is a very detailed letter from Larry Davis that includes images and steps needed to convert the wings of the Hasegawa kit to an earlier version. The instructions do not go into the several smaller detail items on the fuselage that need to be removed, added, or corrected.

An interesting inclusion is a final small sheet giving new nose stripes for NinaV, new tail and nose band for Beautious Butch, and another set of insignia. No notice is in the set as to why the additional sheet is there as they look to be the same as on the main sheet. There are enough stripes and insignia to do one of the schemes on the sheet. There are no stencils. For that you need to purchase their Sabre Stencils sheet.
