The F-86 Sabre has to be a favorite amongst most aircraft fans. It was probably the most exported early US jet fighter, though the F-84 versions may have been darn close. This particular sheet offers three different subtypes of F-86F. Not sure just what kit would be best for these, but I'd guess that perhaps the Academy one might be most people's choice. If using a Hasegawa kit, make sure it has the right wing for the subtype you are modeling.
First is an F-86F-30 marked as the commander's plane from the 4th FIW in 1953. It is quite colorful, though you will have to paint the yellow stripes on this and the other planes. Aeromaster does offer the black stripes so you can cover any minor goofs in width!
Next is the 51st FIW commanders plane, an F-86F-10. It is from July 1953 very near the end of the war.
Finally, is 'Battlin' Bootsie', an F-86F-1 from the 39th FIS, also from mid 1953. This one has OD drop tanks. If you recall from the review I did of the Academy F-86F, the OD painted tanks were made in Japan and were of a different weight than the US made tanks. That is the reason for the paint.
Please note that the sheet may look a bit short as I'll often crop off common markings to save on server space.
