After a two year absence from the pages of MM, Afterburner Decals has sent in their latest sheet for the F-18F Super Hornets of VFA-41 'Black Aces'. The sheet is sized for the Hasegawa sheet, but could probably fit others if need be

There are four aircraft on this sheet. Two are CAG birds, one from 2005 and one from last year. The more recent has a black upper fuselage. Then there is the squadron commander's plane and a standard line bird. In all, a very nice selection and I'm sure the addition of a 'normal' plane is appreciated by those who don't like doing the boss birds.

Decals are very nicely done with many of the multi-color markings in separate bits to prevent problems of registration. There are red outlines for the latest CAG bird. Those can be cut out and used to help make a template. Also included are white square decals to use inside the burner cans. Not sure what those are supposed to look like but you who build these a lot will know. There are enough common markings to do one aircraft. If you combine these with the kit's decals, you could do one CAG and one other from the sheet.

A fine sheet that will add a lot to your next F-18F build.
